Welcome to extendedrange.org! This is a tool that can show where notes from scales and chords are played on a fretboard, for learning and practice. This resource is built with extended-range guitars and basses in mind, since many are targeted at the average six string guitar. Seven string, eight string, nine string, ten string and beyond are all supported, as well as standard, drop, open, double drop, all-fourths, all-fifths, and other tunings! The tool also allows display of custom scales in addition to the common scale presets.
